The Town of Hamden, Delaware County, is now engaged in the update of its
Comprehensive Plan, which was first adopted in 2000. A public hearing has been
scheduled for 7:30 PM, on Tuesday, March 16, 2010 at the Town Hall to gather
opinions on the update
The draft revised Comprehensive Plan is available through links on the Town’s
website. “This is a special opportunity for our residents
to give their thoughts about the future of our area,” stated Supervisor Wayne
Marshfield.
The hearing is intended to solicit input from residents and those individuals who
own property within the Town, who operate businesses in the Town or who may be
seasonal residents or property owners, concerning their feelings about key issues
facing the Town of Hamden. “We want to know what they think about land use
regulations, future development within the Town, community services and a lot of
other issues,” said Marshfield. “Agricultural issues are a particular concern and
our new Comprehensive Plan includes a section specifically addressing that
matter.”
The public hearing will follow a regular meeting of the Town of Hamden Planning
Board, which has guided the preparation of the updated Town of Hamden
Comprehensive Plan.
