Town of Hamden Assessor’s Office
Please be advised that the mailing of the 2026 Notices of Assessment Change has been delayed. The Assessor’s Office is working diligently to complete processing and appreciates the public’s patience and understanding.
In addition, the Assessor has added the following dates and times for public review of the assessment rolls:
• Saturday, May 23, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
• Monday, May 25, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Residents with questions are encouraged to contact the Town of Hamden Assessor’s Office during normal business hours at 607-746-6660 ext. 3.

Fun facts
The Town of Hamden was created on April 4, 1825. The first town meeting was held on the first Tuesday of March at the house of Edward B. Chase, Innkeeper. Jabez Bostwick was elected as the first Town Supervisor, Daniel Coleman Jr. as first Town Clerk.
